I am trying to recover data from a Western Digital hard drive that had a BSOD. I've removed the HD and connected to my good pc using an ide to usb adaptor. When my pc recognizes the HD it causes my system to restart and continue to restart until I unplug the USB. I am new to this so fogive me for my lack of knowledge. Does anyone know what might cause this?

Any help would be appreciated!
