I was downloading pics from my dcamera to my laptop. I keep a file on the desktop called digital photos; where all my photos are stored. While transfering, I get a message that the folder is too big and windows deletes it. All my digital pics get deleted. The folder is still in the tree but is empty. I have not done anything more, I even kept the computer on. Is there anyway to get those pics back w/o taking my laptop into a recovery service. My understanding is the pics are still there, but the "directions" to find them is erased. This is really improtant to me, this is 9 months of pics of my kids (age 2&4) and my wife will ream me if I lost these. Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

well, I would suggest you to use free photo recovery utilities by Geeksnerds Limited. Check you file system and then accordingly download free photo recovery programs available for FAT and NTFS, I hope that you will get you photo back.
