RAID 1 - Need help!

Recently setup a new system with RAID 1 – Shuttle SD31P, Intel Pentium D 930 3.0 GHZ 2 MB L2 cache Dual Core Processor, Patriot 1GB 5300/667 DDR2 RAM CL5 - 2 pcs and Maxtor 200GB 7200RPM HDD SATA - 2 pcs.

Recently, the RAID got degraded and said that the RAID volume is degraded because of FAILED hard drive.

I disconnect SATA cable of hard drive > start-up> shutdown > switched off mains > connect back cable > start up. It says rebuilding .. . . .then after a while it stops and says that it is degraded due MISSING hard drive. Tried a few time and the result is the same.

Iam computer novice. Can anybody help onsite? or alternatively I can bring my rig over. Thk u very much.

Contact any RAID data recovery service provider for the mentioned problem!
