Hi this is what happened.
I always had 2 raptors in raid0 and a samsung f1 1TB as my storage drive
I accidentally selected one of the raptors and the F1 during intel build raid utitlity recently and installed vista64 on the samsung that had all my files.
during the process it striped my F1 and one of the raptors then I installed windows on a F1 and a raptor. I am using a few programs to recover the files from the F1 drive. using Testdisk and R-studio. My question is. since the drive F1 is so big and I do not have a second 1 TB drive. I am trying to rebuild the drive to the time I striped it. Is there a way to do this on the physical drive or do I need separate drives to save the fragmented files to and then reformat F1 and move files back? I'll buy another F1 if I really need to but don't want to spend money.
Heres a question? I have a 250gb firewire maxtor and the rest of the space on the raptors in Raid. approx. 324GB of storage. All I want are the pictures, mp3 files and some game restore points./ the rest is pretty much backup dvd and software I can replace. Is there a program that I can use that will show me the original file names so I can tell the critical files from the BS?

You can use Geeksnerds Data Recovery software. It will show you the file name along with data and time created, modified. Just verify the size of files you want to recovery and recover your desired data.
In case you are looking for a file and you can't find the file you can use the search of the Geeksnerds Data Recovery Software and it will find the desired file for you automatically. you can download the program from:
