What I will suggest in such a case is that you should contact a professional data recovery service near to you, cuz netgear is not giving any details and in such a situation, experimenting with your data on the drives will be risky, so better leave the work for the professionals, if you want to experiment, taking the drive out will be one thing and connecting the drives directly will be an options.
