Install the Stellar Phoenix Macintosh Data Recovery software (free download) and then from the displayed list of options, select the "Fresh Recovery" option. Data Rescue 3 is a similar program that professional data recovery services. So if you go take your Mac to a professional hard drive repair store, most likely they will use similar software to this.
