Hi there,
Please help me with my problem, my desktop pc recently was used as application server to store access (databsase file) in my office. The hardisk is 320GB in 4 partition. Recently i upgrade my os from vista ultimate to windows 7 (booting upgrade)without formating. After completed successfully the old windows is renamed to windows.old. Eventhough the other 3 partition not affected, unfortunately my data especially the database file was lost. I managed to recover using a software but the mdb file was renamed to file001.mdb and so on. Can anybody here help me to restore my access file.
Thanks you in advance

Hi,
It seems that you have used raw recovery software to recover the file you mentioned.
What is suggested to you is that you should not use the drive from which you want to recovery data as you may overwrite the file in process.
Try to make a clone copy of the drive by using some good sector by sector cloning software, thereafter try recovery from copy preserving the original data drive..
You are using raw recovery software, instead try using any good data recovery software.
First scan your drive for partition. When you find your desired partition, then run advance scan for data. I think you will find your desired file.
When you look for data, also check for it in "Path Unkown" Folder.
I hope that you get your data back.
