Any one tell me about the difference b/w Hard Drive Copying and Hard Drive imaging??

Copying is the act of cut and paste or drag and drop. Imaging can create and exact "copy" of the entire drive. So if you mount your image you will see it in the exact same format as when you imaged it.
Your hash code will identify if it is an exact image. A good imaging tool will always display the hash which is a unique number. If the numbers of your drive and image match you have an exact image.

In Cloning, the sector are copied in the form they are.
But in copying the data is copied only, only those portions of disk are copied which have data.
In Image creation, all the data is placed in one image for latter use, such images are used for data backup.
This is the difference between, copying, cloning and image creation |
