ok so basically i was backing up data from a faulty hard drive using dos as explorer kept crashing. it worked fine but slowly as the disk is 100% faulty. then i changed the script to say del the original stuff so i knew what had copied over and what hadn't. anyhow the script asked me twice to confirm. it then deletes the backup copy as well. i am so dumb and angry with myself.

i have tried about 7 undelete uneraser apps and although they can find IE cache from months ago they cannot find anything that i want.

does anyone have any way of restoring data deleted through dos and any idea why these so called recovery apps find nothing of use?
