Hello Everyone.
I have a WD 320 GB External Hard with separate power cable.
I formatted my pc a couple of months back. However after reinstalling the windows and all when I connected this hard drive, surprisingly enough nothing of the data was visible. I had approx 80 GB data stored on the drive. Now when I check it disk space it shows that there is 80 gb data on the drive but I cant find it any where.
Can some one help me with it?

Stop using the drive.
Connect it with computer as secondary drive and use data recovery software.
Look for any software which has RAW recovery, it will work in your case.

You can google and download any good data recovery software.
Most of the softwares come with demo versions so you don't have to buy the software untill it can recover you data.

I had one more issue as well..i had almost 2 gb data of pictures on my hard drive. a friend of mine copied it on a usb (cut paste) all in one go. Now the data has been deleted from my pc hard drive.. but it is not present on the usb in a complete form either.. It s all corrupted..
How can that be restored? |

The data can be recovered from hard drive.
Not sure about USB but this can happen, people face such problem when they use cut paste command.
Download any good photo recovery software.
