I have a 200 GB external hard drive formatted as NTFS connected to my MacBook Pro. I opened up Disk Utility on the MacBook Pro and clicked "Repair Disk" to repair the external hard drive. (I did this because I was having trouble emptying my trash bin whenever the external hd was connected to my MacBook). But right after I clicked "Repair Disk", all 175 GB of my files on my external hard drive were gone!

However, when I look at the properties/info of my external hard drive, it still says that 175 GB are being used and 25 GB are available even though I don't see any of my files!

Can someone please help me?

Thanks!

Hi

Kernel for FAT and NTFS data recovery software will be helpful to you for recovering lost data files.

Just google through and you will find the software.

Very Happy

In my opinion your data is not lost but rather its hidden . And I also suggest you to for an online support. Just google for "data recovery software" and give a trial to top ones.

All the best Smile
